Jake Owen

Jake Owen continues to blaze his own trail through country music as one of its most consistent hitmakers and a sonically curious maverick who refuses to be boxed in.
Even with a chart-topping, multiplatinum body of work to his name and hundreds of concerts behind him, he never stops challenging himself to cover new ground and explore uncharted territory. The Nashville-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer remains a lifelong student of songwriting and a country music obsessive, equally known for celebrating the genre’s history with popular tributes and for delivering No. 1 hits across successive decades. Now, his unwavering and unapologetic commitment to country music continues to drive him into 2027 and beyond.
His quiet grind began with the release of Startin’ with Me in 2006, followed by Easy Does It three years later. In 2011, he catapulted to the forefront of country music on the strength of the Platinum-certified Barefoot Blue Jean Night. The album debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 and yielded his breakthrough 2x-Platinum smash, “Barefoot Blue Jean Night.” His evolution as an artist continued with American Love (2016) and the Gold-certified Greetings from…Jake (2019), highlighted by the 2x-Platinum hit “Down to the Honky Tonk.” Indicative of his sustained relevance and undeniable staying power, Jake earned his tenth career No. 1 with “Best Thing Since Backroads,” a decade after “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” put his rise into overdrive.
Known for unpredictable and unforgettable performances, Jake has performed in front of sold-out crowds in stadiums, arenas and amphitheaters from coast to coast, bringing no shortage of high-octane energy and musical fireworks to every stage.
Never content to repeat himself, Jake recruited GRAMMY® Award-winning outlaw Shooter Jennings to produce 2025’s acclaimed Dreams To Dream. An impromptu Instagram comment led to recording sessions at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, with Shooter at the helm. Jake independently funded the album, recorded it with a live band, and brought the project full circle by covering Waylon Jennings’ “Them Old Love Songs” and featuring a powerful collaboration with Jamey Johnson on “The Jukebox Knows.”
Jake’s reverence for country music is perhaps just as impactful as his radio and streaming success. That reverence is a common thread throughout his career, whether delivering a viral, spur-of-the-moment Merle Haggard tribute jam session on Facebook Live in 2016 or covering Hank Williams Jr.’s “The Blues Man” at Alan Jackson’s final show, Last Call: One More for the Road, The Finale, in 2026.
However, Jake has always been pushing forward. His songs are love letters to the sound that has inspired him since he was a kid, and that love has only intensified over the years. Looking ahead, he continues to serve up dyed-in-the-wool country songs and play the kinds of shows that could inspire another generation of artists to follow suit.
Simultaneously, Jake gives back at every turn through his 501(c)(3) charity, the Jake Owen Foundation. Established in 2010, the Foundation has raised more than $10 million to support nonprofit organizations across the United States, with a focus on after-school and summer programs, foster children, veterans, and hospice care.
