The Brothers Hunt

The Brothers Hunt

Dan and Reid Isbell are Nashville songwriters and brothers, raised as preacher's kids in the white oak hollers of Tennessee, who built their careers in the writing room without leaving the woods behind. Their songs have been recorded by Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, Darius Rucker, Jon Pardi, Gabby Barrett, ERNEST, Justin Moore and Scotty McCreery, including the 6x Platinum No. 1 "The Kind of Love We Make."

The road there ran long. They spent five years living on a boat in Nashville, moving furniture and umpiring softball games so they could keep writing. When they could scrape together the money and a few days off, they went West after elk, antelope and mule deer, and those trips became part of the work: long drives to talk through songs, faith, family and what came next.

The Brothers Hunt is where it all meets. Each week Dan and Reid sit down with country music's artists and songwriters to talk about the stories behind the songs, and the faith, family, deer camps, failures and fatherhood behind the people who write them. Today they host God's Country Podcast, document hunts across the country on YouTube, and are raising young families of their own near Nashville.
