Privacy Policy

Southern Drift ("Southern Drift," "we," "us") is a management and media company based in Nashville, Tennessee. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have when you use southerndrift.com, the Southern Drift Client Portal (admin.southerndrift.com) and the Southern Drift app for iPhone (together, the "Services").
Who this covers
Visitors to our website; the artists, clients and partners (agents, publicists, promoters and others) we work with who sign in to the Client Portal or the app; and the Southern Drift team.
What we collect
Account details. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address and, if you choose, your profile photo from the sign-in method you use: Google, Sign in with Apple or an emailed sign-in link. If you use Sign in with Apple and hide your email, we receive Apple's relay address instead. We never see or store your Google or Apple password.
Work we do together. The information needed to manage a career and a business: show offers and their terms, calendars, tour and travel details, contracts and settlements, releases and credits, press, assets you approve, and the notes and decisions you send us through the Services. Some of this comes from you, and some from the agents, promoters, labels, distributors and others we work with on your behalf.
Public career data. For artists we represent, we gather publicly available audience and streaming information (for example from Spotify, Chartmetric and Bandsintown) and published press.
Device and usage information. If you allow notifications in the app, we store a push token so we can send them. Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider record basic technical information (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and reliability. Our website may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which pages are read.
Browser storage. We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember small preferences such as light or dark mode. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use it
To run the Services and sign you in; to manage and advance careers and live dates; to send you offers, approvals, documents and notifications you have asked for; to keep the Services secure; and to meet legal, accounting and tax obligations. We use AI tools to read and summarize documents such as offers and contracts so our team can act on them faster. A person on our team reviews anything that matters before it goes to you.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the people and providers needed to do the work:
- The Southern Drift team, with access limited by role. Financial details are restricted to a small group.
- For artists, the partners on a given project or show, and only what that work requires.
- Service providers who process data for us under contract: Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (hosting and security), Google (sign-in, and Workspace for our own email, calendar and files), Apple (Sign in with Apple and app notifications), Resend (sign-in email), Anthropic (AI document reading) and Chartmetric (audience data).
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our clients, team or others.
Confidentiality
Unannounced shows, signings and deals stay off our public website until the artist and Southern Drift are ready to announce them.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we work together and as long afterward as contracts, accounting and the law require. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or remove what identifies you.
Your choices
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to close your account, by emailing [email protected]. Records we must keep for contracts, accounting or the law may be retained.
- You can turn off notifications in your iPhone's Settings at any time.
- You can sign out of the Client Portal and the app at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. Email us and we will honor them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is limited by role and enforced in the database itself. In the app, your session is kept in the iPhone Keychain. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. A parent or guardian manages access for any artist under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and let account holders know.
